The illustrations below were made to be gum arabic prints. A mixture of solid black designs so that the ink will show up on the fabric, I did also experiment with using my brushes on photoshop to create more textured images. I drew inspiration from the forest, retro patterns and folk art- not only to communicate the theme of my project but also to make some striking juxtapositions between the strong patterns and some of the moodier images. Amongst the panels there are references to mining and traditional bad omens which again emphasises the folky, creepy theme that I want my costume to communicate.
